End-to-End Water Treatment Solutions for Solar Panel Factories
May 9, 2024A national client specializing in travel centers engaged Kleinfelder Water Technologies to design a potable well water system for a new travel plaza in west Texas. The project required a submittal for a new source water well permit and a new Public Water System (PWS) permit. The groundwater in this area of Texas contained arsenic and nitrates. Kleinfelder provided a design for the system and received approval to construct a new well on the site. Using greensand filters and ion/exchange resin filters to remove arsenic and nitrates from the water, Kleinfelder’s team provided a 30-day trail of the treatment to obtain approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to use these technologies. This new plant design was approved and construction was started thereafter. The plant was constructed onsite at Kleinfelder’s McClure, Ohio, operations center and shipped to the site in west Texas. A 15,000-gallon water storage tank was added. The treatment consisted of a new well, greensand filter, mixing tanks, ion/exchange tanks, water storage, chemical feed pumps, and high service booster pumps. Kleinfelder Water Technologies also provided operators for the treatment plant.
