LongKleinfelder Water Technologies provided site selection, design, and construction permitting services to replace failing septic system infrastructure with a 25,000-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). Site selection tasks included surveying the property and geotechnical evaluations. The chosen above-ground, steel-construction WWTP system consists of an equalization basin, aeration basins, circular clarifier, tertiary sand filters, and UV disinfection. A new pump station was required to convey the sewage from the old septic system area to the new plant. Kleinfelder provided the design of the pump station and WWTP. Once the plans were submitted and approved, Kleinfelder procured, constructed, and started the equipment. Construction and startup were completed in 90 days. Kleinfelder also provided certified operators to maintain, report, and operate the plant.
